Women Honouring Women
The Women of Distinction Dinner and Awards have been held since 1985 to honour women of Brandon and the Westman and Parkland areas. This prestigious award recognizes womens individual accomplishments, women who are inspirational role models and women who have made significant contributions to the community. Proceeds of this event support the programs and services of the YWCA Brandon. The 20th Anniversary of the awards dinner was marked in 2007. We want to thank all our nominees and everyone who helped to make it a memorable evening.
Do you know a woman whose acheivements are outstanding? Who is an inspiration to others? Who has made a significant contribution to her community? If so, nominate her for the Women of Distinction Award.

The YWCA Brandon is pleased to announce the 25th Annual Women of Distinction Awards Dinner that will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the UCT Pavilion at the Keystone Centre.
The dinner honors women in the Brandon, Westman and Parkland regions who have contributed to the community.
Do you know a woman who has achieved outstanding success in her field by:
~Being a leader and a role model
~Breaking new ground or old barriers
~Participating actively as a volunteer
~Guiding, supporting, and encouraging the development of other women and girls
~Showing vision, creativity, and initiative
~Making a sustained commitment and a significant difference in the lives of others
~Is respected by her community for her contributions
If she has one or all of the above characteristics, nominate her for a YWCA Woman of Distinction Award or a YWCA Young Woman of Distinction Award (ages 16-24.
